Finding the motivation to work out is one of the hardest obstacles to overcome when trying to reach your fitness goals. We all know the feeling...you finally muster up the motivation to work out, you do great for a few days, but when you don't see results right away, the motivation disappears and you're right back where you started...struggling to find that motivation.
Many fitness experts teach you how to find that motivation and keep it going so that you continue to work out and finally achieve the results that you desire. The truth for many of us, however, is that once we see the first sign of results, the drive sets in and there is no stopping us from reaching our goals. So how do you get through the hard part? How do you get through those first few workouts and continue to stay motivated before you see any results?
Some experts will tell you that it's all in your head, and you know what?... They're absolutely right! Motivation is all about your way of thinking. You have to find fuel for the fire... why did you want to get into shape in the first place? Do you want more energy? Do you want a healthier, happier life? Do you want to look and feel better? Do you want to boost your confidence? Think about it for a moment. Whatever it is that made you want to get into shape in the first place should be the fuel for your fire. Write it down, find a picture of what you want to look like, and hang it on the wall or somewhere that you will see it every day. Let that be your motivation for a while until you start seeing results, after that, there will be no stopping you.
