There will be times during the day when all we would rather do is sleep or take a nap. But we know this is not possible due to whatever circumstance we happen to be in, whether this is our job or being in school. It can be irritating to have these tired feelings. It doesn't have to be this way though and you can have more energy starting today. Two critical areas that cause us to become fatigued are the types of food we are eating and how we live our basic lifestyle.
Starting with foods, you want to do your best to stay away from simple carbohydrate foods such sodas, fast foods, candies, and the like. Make sure you are eating complex carbohydrate foods in order for the body to burn it slowly. This includes nuts, vegetables, fruits, and low fat meat. If you start replacing coffee, sodas, and fast food with a diet consisting of water, nuts, vegetables, fruits, and low fat meat, you'll find yourself to be more awake during the day because your body does not burn these sugars as fast, and as a result will give you more long lasting energy.
As for daily routine, if you take naps over an hour a day, you need to stop. This will ruin your sleeping habits. Your sleep should consist of around seven to eight hours of sleep. Too little or too much sleep will cause you to become drowsy during the day. Finally, exercise a little bit everyday to ensure you get enough oxygen that is circulating deep within your body. This makes your blood cells to at a faster pace which helps you stop stop fatigue and have more lasting energy during the day.
