There is a huge percentage of our population that suffers from heavy perspiration. Sweat is the body's way of releasing the heat that builds up in our bodies due to metabolic processes. If we don't release the heat, the body temperature can rise to abnormal, toxic levels. In some people who suffer from heavy perspiration, the perspiration is excessive and embarrassing.
Some methods used to stop perspiration include wearing light clothing and avoiding caffeine-rich drinks. Caffeine is a stimulant and raises the heartbeat, which increases metabolic processes, which in turn, increase heavy perspiration. Soaking one's feet in Epsom salt has been shown to decrease perspiration as well as rubbing an antiperspirant on the bottom of the feet.
There are also very expensive procedures such as Botox injection. Botox injection is mostly used for heavy perspiration at the armpits. One injection can last for 3-6 months at a time. It is not as effective on heavy perspiration of the hands. It also tends to be very painful. I don't know about you, but I cringe when I hear of injecting anything anywhere into my body, even if it is for copious perspiration relief.
Before looking into options such as surgery, it is better to exhaust as many natural options as possible. Any surgical procedure or any chemically-induced relief usually has side effects. Sometimes we may overlook natural options that can stop perspiration because we are impatient and not willing to put in the time. Isn't it easier to take an injection than to look at making dietary changes? That is defective thinking.
For any chronic, non-life threatening condition, it is always better to first look at natural options and then at more radical options.
