The H1N1 flu, popularly called the Swine flu has been terrorizing the public for several months now, however, it can be kept away. The Health Care providers around the world have been encouraging us to do these things to keep it at bay.
Wash Hand
It is recommended that everyone wash their hands with soap (it kills the germs) and water, regularly throughout the day. It is also encouraged that children be taught how to wash their hands correctly. They should make sure that they rub soap and water on both sides of the hand and between the fingers and fingertips.
Hands should always be washed before and after eating, after blowing the nose, after playing and even when it does not look dirty.
Don't Touch Eyes
It is best to keep the hands away from eyes, nose and mouth because it can take bacteria into your body through these avenues.
Get Shot
Everyone is encouraged to get the H1N1 flu shot for their protection and for the protection of those around them.
Cough and Sneeze into Arms
It is suggested that we do not cough or sneeze into our hands, but into our arms.
Keep surroundings Germs free
Our surroundings should be wiped with disinfectant to keep the germs away and this can be at home, work or school.
Stay Home if Sick
If we are not well, we are also encouraged to stay at home, however this can be a bit difficult when we are the soul providers for our family. Therefore, some employers have been looking at ways to keep their employees healthy and working and if they are sick that they stay away from the other employees without loosing a day's pay.
