The Blushing Cure - How to Gain Control Over Your Face

A lot of people seem to suffer from severe blushing. You don't have to; I am here to share my experiences of what worked as a blushing cure for me. I am not selling anything, there is no magic pill. What I am going to tell you will take work and dedication on your part, but it's worth it if you are able to more fully enjoy your life.

I'm sure you have had friends that have told you it's no big deal, get over it, everyone blushes. But we know the truth; if you have severe blushing it is a big deal. It is also a vicious cycle that has led many people to withdraw from any potentially embarrassing situations. If you can't meet new people that hurts your love life as well as your career.

Start by figuring out what your specific triggers are. Do you blush when you have to speak in front of people? Are you uncomfortable in unfamiliar settings? This is important information for "curing" you.

Now that you know what sets you off, you can work on overcoming the issue. I believe that practice in front of the mirror is a great place to start. It's a safe and controlled environment that you can manipulate to help yourself.

The next steps are a little more difficult. After you have gained mastery in the confines of your home, you will need to immerse yourself in real-world situations. At first it will appear that nothing is changing, but remind yourself that you are working on fixing a long habituated pattern of behaviour. I found that for myself, just that reminder helped me. As you persevere, you will find that social situations are less and less uncomfortable and may even become fun. 

I hope I have not made it sound like an easy road; it won't be. But if you put in the work and learn to let go of YOUR expectations of what people think of you it will be manageable.
