Imagine this scenario: You've landed an interview for that company you've been applying for the past two years and it's a great, high paying position. You're understandably excited... but also anxious! So anxious in fact, that during the actual interview you sweat like a pig! It's dripping down your face, and you do your best to try and hide those stains of sweat forming on your shirt. You can tell by the look on your interviewer's face that they are completely disgusted. So much for first impressions, you'll be lucky if you get a call back!
Does this kind of situation sound familiar to you? For people who suffer from it, excessive sweating is a horrible condition that causes a lot of stress and anxiety. I mean, who wants to be known as "the human sprinkler"? Sounds funny, but when you're the one sporting the pit stains it definitely is no laughing matter.
So what to do to try and reduce all this sweating?
One remedy I've tried with some success is with baking soda and corn starch. First you take a shower and wash up really well, then of course make sure to dry off. Next, you just mix the baking soda and corn starch together, then rub it into your armpits and anywhere else on your body where you sweat a lot. Let it just sit there for about half an hour, then jump back in the shower and rinse it off. This is kind of a crude method, but it helps a little bit by absorbing some of the moisture when you get your next sweating attack.
