Sweating, Nervous? Tips to Help Stop Sweating Now
Sun, 04 Oct 2009

If you have a form of social anxiety or panic attacks you would probably like some tips to help curb one of the more visible signs - sweating. Nervous tension caused by social anxiety can raise the body temperature and kick your cooling system into overdrive some people explain that it just gets worse once everyone can see the sweating. Nervousness and a racing mind can make it difficult to control.

Nervous Sweating Solutions - There are a number of possible solutions for sweating. Nervous feelings can be reduced with a prescription like Clonazepam. But, rather than expose yourself to excessive chemicals it may be preferable to consider some natural treatments first.

Meditation and breathing exercises are a terrific way to help treat nervous sweating. At its core, mediation is just practiced control over the mind. Typically, this involves either clearing the mind or focusing the mind on one specific thing; like controlled breathing.

Breathing exercises can be practiced anytime but you should probably try it out first when you are already calm and can take the time to really focus on the steps. The basic idea is quite simple, breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Breathing Exercise For Nervous Sweating - First, breathe in slowly through your nose for about 3-5 seconds. You will breathe with your diaphragm, which will push out your stomach. You will not be expanding your chest as you breathe in. Near the end of drawing in the breath, lean back slightly to get that little bit extra.

Next, you will hold this breath for around 3-5 seconds and feel the air inside your lungs.

Finally, exhale the air slowly through your mouth for 3-5 seconds. Near the end of exhaling, lean forward slightly to get out as much as possible. Hold the empty breath for another 3-5 seconds.

As you are following this simple breathing exercise, focus your mind *only* on your breath and the effect of breathing. Once you have become comfortable with this exercise, you can use it when you are in public and sweating. Nervous feelings are controlled with practice and by controlling your thoughts; you can begin to control nervous sweating.
